can i put a 3rz in a 1985 Toyota 4Runner or keep the 22re or this a down grade

 

I believe the 3rz is an upgrade, ive seen a couple 3rz`s swapped into 80-82 toyota trucks, thats all i know, im sure it would take a little fab work bolt it in, but its definatly been done before.

 

tghe 3rz is a great motor to swap in, best power to weight ratio in the toyota line up.
i swapped one into my 90 4runner and im finishing up a 84 excab 3rz swap.
i built some bolt in motor mounts and put the word out to see if anyone wanted a set, but no bites yet.
