So my friend gave me a ‘92 Yota Pickup. Four banger / auto.

It’s extremely slow. Like extra slow. When I floor it—it just kind of rumbles at me. Won’t really rip. Haven’t had it up any faster than 65 in second because it feels like it’s running out of steam by then and really wants third gear. So I shift and it’s back to just rumbling at me while very slowly gaining speed.

feels like overdrive is just made of hopes and dreams.

Also…. I really don’t like how “aggressively” the torque converter locks up in third gear. Can I add a toggle switch to disable lock-up until I want it??? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the transmission harness?
