Need Help
Hey All!!
I just got the hand me down toyo and want to do some things to it. 1st it's a 95' 2WD pickup (SORRY), but free is good. I have 14" rims now but would like to go to 15's. I'm looking at maybe 29x9.5x15 tires to match.
First question is can i get these tires on without regearing and changing out my braking system? What damage or loss of performance would I have if I went to this setup. Can someone recommend another tire wheel package?
Second I would like to do a CHEAP suspension lift. I'm thinking blocks in the rear. I don't know how I'm going to lift the front though. All I have up front is a shock on both sides and the front end arms and stuff?, No coil springs. How do you do a front lift with this setup?
Third I would like to do a body lift which I think I will need if I go to the above mentioned tire setup. How high of a lift can I go one each the suspension and body lift to where I will not have to change out anything else?
I'm mainly looking to drive around town but would like to get out and romp with the girls on the weekends!!
Thanks K.

Well with the tires you should be alright. I don't think they'll rub. No need to regear again should be alright. Speedo will be a bit off though.
I suppose you could do blocks but folks around here seem to frown on that. Changing out the springs and longer shackles would probably be best.
For the front I'm assuming they are the same as a 4wd, you can crank on the torsion bars a bit and that will lift the front or Ball Joint Spacers.
A locker my be in your future as well.
There is also an little button in the top right that will help you out as well "Search"
Here is a starter for ya... https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...pickup-189362/

i had an 81 2wd,
some 215 BFG all terrains, 2 innch body lift, slight rubbing on that but a little hammering on the fender fixed that :p
i think the All terrain would suit that truck good, i dont agree with the blocks, crank the front torsion bars,
and i dont think there is a need for a lift and a body lift, my body lift was like 98$
cheap and effective.

There are a few options, most of which are touched on in that thread.
