What is the plastic part called that is on the lower rear corners of the cab? I believe it is some sort of vent for air release when you close the doors. I get road noise coming from that corner of the truck and the drivers side seems to be loose. It looks as if the bed would have to come off to get at the part for replacement.

Are you talking about the vents in the lower portion of the B-pillar, just under the seat-belt? If so, the vents are there to remove CO2 and moister from the passenger cabin. I would not recommend blocking the vents off completely, but you could lift the bed an fill the space with some breathable foam. The foam will not eliminate the road noise, however, the foam would make a major difference.

 

Thanks for the reply, I believe we are talking about the same part. I was hoping to get the name of the part to see if I could purchase a new one. The idea of the foam may work out too, thanks for the suggestion!
