If you look back at cymon's post where he included the pic of the FSM (factory service manual) that looks like there is no code to me.

 

I don't understand why it's running so horribly then.
Guess I'm stuck paying the $125 for a mechanic to scope it out for me.

 

this is a silly question but have you replaced the fuel filter.

and have you disconnected the battery from the last time you jumped the codes
if you have it will reset the codes if you have disconnected the battery then you will have to take it back out until it acts funny then check the codes.

I would also check all of the vac lines and the intake hose in between the throttle body and the airflow sensor.

my theory is if the rubber has a crack on any parts of the intake and the motor gets warmer the rubber gets softer and if it has a crack it could open witch would make it run bad .

I had the reverse thing where when I would start up the 4runner in the mornings it would run like crap once the rubber hose got warm it would seal its self up.
I would also check all of your grounding wires I ran into a sloo of frustration because of one wire it took me 3 trys to get it clean and grounded.

 

yeah, do the basic checks if you already havent
air filter, spark plugs, wires, everything basic.

 

I just found out even worse news.
It has a blown head gasket. I went to do the oil and filter change and my oil is very very runny.

is there oil in your coolant?
make sure that the timing chain did not wear a hole into the water pump if you did a compression test and all 4 cylinders are at 150 then I highly doubt that your head gasket is blown.

 

Well I changed the oil to check if it gets water in it again, let it run for 15 minutes then checked it and no water. Now I'm confused. And theres no oil in my coolant. But there is a slight knock so I guess I'll try and find a cheap rebuild kit, ANY SUGGESTIONS on where to get one online cheap?

Well I guess the grandpa who checked my cylinder pressure didn't check cylinder #4 -.-
Because I just went to re-check them just in case and there is spark going to it and everything but no pressure. I will need to rebuild for sure now...unless I can find pistons and rings and just do those. probably better for complete rebuild though right?
