Motor swap

Has anyone swapped out the 3.0 v6 in a 90-95 4runner for a v8? If you have i would like to know how difficult it was and what v8 you were able to do it with. looking to try it out but I'm not sure if its possible.

What? What do you mean without a total overhaul? You're going to have to make a completely custom fit for any v8 going in there... Anyway, the engine swap section that was linked will take you a loooong way. There's days of reading in there that will give you much more info than just what you are asking.

People do it all the time. No more difficult then changing the oil. Hell sometimes I swap in a new engine each day of the week just to spice things up. Pretty much any engine ever made will slide right in with no fab work at all.

You are not capable of any engine swap or even touching a vehicle if you ask a question like that.

I apologize or being vague. I was asking about the newer Toyota v8s. If it was easier to use a Toyota v8 or something along the lines of a crate motor. Thanks the info

To avoid more sarcasm from another, I'll say this: There is so much detailed info that if you want a recommendation on a v8 I'd say the Lexus 1UZFE is the only way to go. That's gonna require custom mounting, wiring, trans configuration, and everything else in the details. BUT, the info is there. If you go with something like a crate motor you are going to be not only fitting the motor but pioneering the swap as it's not popularly documented. If you think you'd be interested in the Lexus idea, Toyminator and RMA have VERY informative thread on their handful of swaps. Check out the "All Other Toyota Swaps" forum.
