Can anyone tell me how strong a truck bed is or how thick it should be??

 

lol, idk about that but my 85's bed is pretty thin, you can grab the sides and wiggle them about a foot either direction, and with the tailgate down, i bet i could probaby just rip the sides off

 

i meant the floor of the bed

 

it is as thick as the manufacturer designed it to be

lol, my bad, haha, but my floor is rusty,has alot of holes, but its pretty sturdy and thin...ive had alot of weight in the back of my truck and its opretty sturdy, but not the best

 

There is a fine line between weight and fuel mileage with the EPA wanting higher fleet average mileage.

The beds will get even more thinner.

I am shore if you really need to know I could get the numbers of the steel your truck bed is made out of. Not sure how long it might take though.

Just what strengths did you want to know??
