Does anyone know how much trouble it is to replace my 5 speed with an automatic on a 94 4runner

 

Problems i'd look for. Linkage for gear selector, tranny cooler lines to radiator, and Speedo cable. That's all i can think of. Make sure the transmissions are the same length or you will have drive shaft issues. And dont mix 4x4 and 2wd trannys

 

its gonna be an involved project. i recently finished my 3.4 swap going from a 22re 5spd to a 3.4 auto. from what i understand you will have to change wiring harness, ecu,trans,radiator, shifter console,etc. it probably would be cheaper, and a lot easier to trade cars.

 

Gotta ask...why?
