Lower A arm replacement
Hey, my 1993 Toyo v6 5 speed manual, 4x4 pickup , just broke the front left LOWER SUPPORT ARM. It rusted through! Can I replace it in the driveway? I am thinking TORCH! Am I going the right way? Will NAPA have the parts? I hate my local dealer, he rips off everyone!

The lower A-arm can be replaced in the driveway, no problem. I seriously doubt you'll find a replacement at NAPA. I think you'll need to find one in a salvage yard. You'll need the biggest pry bar you can get to get the lower ball joint out by lifting the upper A-arm up against the torsion bar resistance.
I removed an entire lift kit & put mine back to stock in my driveway/garage.

Thank you so much, It is hell without wheels! I have become accustomed to driving my little truck whenever I want. Before this happened I went through the hastle of replacing every square inch of brake line on the truck. In my driveway! Just as I fixed one leaker, and bled the whole system, another line would leak. Well now I am a brake line expert! Bending is my specialty! Now I have to locate the parts! You have made my day! Thanks for your help!
I hear ya - recent brake line expert here, too! LOL.
Good luck with that....my lower A's are a little....crusty....too.
Getting an entire IFS system from my buddy who's doing a SAS, JUST IN CASE!
Please write up how yours goes if you get to it! Would love to hear what you go thru, so I can plan ahead....
