Lots of googling with no answer... trans/tcase help!

Hi there, I'm new on the site and in the process of fixing leaks between my transfer case (g52) and trans (rf1a? Gear driven). I have an 85 toyota pickup. My question is if there is an input seal for the transfercase? When I opened the gasket between the trans and tcase gear oil leaked out. Is this space supposed to be wet? I replaced the out put seal on the trans. Just wondering if I need to dig into the tcase also. From what I can see of the tcase there is no seal but maybe one deeper in?

thanks all!

There is no seal on the input side of the RF1A Oil should leak when the transfer case is separated from the tranny.

Any seal that separates tranny and t-case will be found at the tranny output.

Thanks so much. I was searching in the FSM and didn't see anything but I'm glad I asked.
