Lifting questions

Hey I planning on lifting my 95 4runner. The standard kit Ive seen is 4 in. Now do you think is enough. Its going to be a daily driver. I will be offroading on weekends. So what do you guys recommend? How big of tires. I know the lower gears with effect speed but by how much. Let me know thanks

What kind of terrain? what kind of offroading? Whats your budget? If no one answers, try the search button, its yellow and blinks near the top... What kind of "standard" is this that you are talking about? All suspension, or suspension + body

Why do you want to lift it? Toyotas come from the factory wil pretty good ground clearance. If you're looking for better off-road capability, lockers will do A LOT mre for you than lift will.

How big tires do you want to run?
This table is pretty darn accurate:

Don't waste your money on one of those 4" kits.

Heres what a lot of folks are running and have been happy with...

I recommend option #2 and 32x11.50 tires or 31x10.50
You can run 33x10.50 tires but you'll notice a dramatic decrease in power but regearing to 4.88's or 5.29's (depending on what tranny you have) will bring it back to stock performance. You'll also want manual hubs to reduce wear and tear on your CVs.
