Need coil over to get 2.5-3.0 inch lift
I would like to spend no more than $1400 on a set of coil overs and control arms. I need a set of coil overs that will give me at least 2.5 inch lift. What do you guys recommend?

The "best" ones people have been raving about are the Donahoes. I think its www.donahoeracing.com or something.
I think Camburg sells a coilover and a-arm kit, and All-pro offroad does as well, All pro is probably the cheapest, but, they still make good products.

Ok thanks. I was also looking at the Race Runner 2.5" coil overs. I don't do a whole lot of wheelin, but I still want something that is of high quality, and fairly easy to install. I am also looking for something that will give my truck a real nice ride.

i run the basic adjustable Fabtech coilovers 0-3"ers. theyre not bad...and not as $$ as the other brands, and it rides really well. noticed an immediate difference onroad, and the offroad performance is excellent..havent had any problems so far. theyre currently about 3/4 cranked (2.5" lift)...im thinking i might raise them up a bit and see if its any better/worse.
Apparently there were issues regarding the valving on these...but that was quite a while ago and anything recent shouldnt have any issues. theyve also got some higher end coils...but since i didnt have the duckets for these..i went with the basic ones.
if i had the coin though, id probably go with donahoe's or saws. if its not gonna be wheeled hard, and youre not gonna run anything wider than a 285, you may not need the UCA's...
my CDN $0.02 worth...

I personally run Donahoes and love them, but many others on here also run SAW's and love them as well.
Depending on your vehicle (what yota do you have?), I would say you probably don't need aftermarket UCA's. I've heard that they don't make much of a difference per the cost. You can spend $500 elsewhere and get much better results.

I liked the idea of the whole thing being rebuildable. Most of the coil overs I have looked at seem kida short. Do you have to really tighten them down to get the lift out of them? By the way I have a 2001 Tacoma, extended cab, V6.
