lift questions

hello im new to this site and i hope to be here for a while so here is my first question
ok i have a 85 toyota 4x4 and i have been looking around this site for a few days now just reading up on some stuff and tring to figure out a plan for a lift.
so here is my plan/question.... will the chevy leafs in the back with longer shackles, and the toyota rears in the front with longer shackles, with longer shocks? will that work

how much lift and flex will this give me? pics??
what shocks do you guys recomend?
will i have to change any steering componets? if so what componets?
and where do i need to weld the new shackle hangers?
any other tips?

the truck will be used as a dd/camping/offroad truck i have other cars to drive if this one brakes

thanks for any help

Try the Toyota section FAQ at www.pirate4x4.com

All those questions are answered in detail there...but read first, don't ask this question there or you'll be sorry.
