How do I test the knock sensor wire on a 22 re?

 

the wire looks fine just wanted to know if there was a way to test it with a voltmeter or something

 

Well there would be if you know where the other end terminates . As far as I know it is at the computer .

I do not have the Toyota wire manual for that year . So I am not sure of the correct pin out .

I would replace yours and see if that corrects the problem.

 

Replace the knock sensor right cuz like you said the wire (i think) is wired into the main harness! So It would be kinda hard to replace
