just put a different 22r in my 81 toyota need help read!!!

just swapped it pulled the original out in about an hour and a half then put the newer motor in, in about 3 hours everythings bolted in and wiring is hooked up but it wont turn over, starter wont spin click or anything.everything is grounded and im just stumped, ive had 3 checked and there all good but none do anything please help!

Are you getting power to the starter? Grab your handy dandy test light and make sure power is going there your constant and the switched lead should both be checked...

the 12v constant is perfect power and so is the igniton power then the started grounds itself if im correct. idk whats up it should at least click or spin or something the starter is good ive done it with more then one and same thing...nothing! i thought it could have something to do with igniton but when you turn the key my handy dandy light, lights up the night

can you turn the motor over by hand....put a breaker bar on the crank and try to spin the motor?

yank the starter take it down to napa/schucks/autozone and get it tested.

Double check the ign connector to the starter solenoid. I have had this fail due to oxidation on multiple vehicles. Pull starter connectors, clean them with fine grit sandpaper or a wire brush. Clean the connectors on the starter as well, especially the spade terminal on the starter solenoid. Replace the starter solenoid connector with a new shielded female spade terminal, squeeze the terminal a little bit before installation to close it up a little, and re-install. Then try again.
