just bought an 86 have a few questions

hey all i just bought an 86 2wd 22r pickup with 64xxx miles on it, it runs great aside from a little bit of an unstable idle.

I recently ran a can of seafoam through the gas tank and a little through the carb but it really didnt seem to have much of an effect, It doesnt idle extremely rough, it just seems unstable and has died a handful of times at idle.

Also i was curious if anyone knows if this truck is prewired for the factoy clock, i really need a clock as this truck still has the oem tapedack in it with no clock on it.

thanks fellas

Try running about 1/2 a can of seafoam through the vacuum line on the brake booster.

I'm sure it's already prewired for the clock. My truck did not have one so i picked one up at the junkyard and popped it right in. You just have to find it.

The important thing to sea-foam is letting it soak in for the 10-12 minutes

The pigtail for the clock is tucked right behind where the clock would mount, just to the left of the climate controls.
