Interior coloring

Thanks to MR. DeathCougar I have found his "how to" and considering in trying this out.
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f128...on-how-167857/

This blue grey is not cutting it. Plus i'm painting the truck black so I'm going for a black and dark grey look.

My question is, what about the dash/door panels? It's vinyl, would the paint hold up?

Has anyone tres dying?

What about the material on the door panels as well as the ceiling and the rear of the cab?

Thanks

Jack

I used duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye on my 92' before it blew up. Turned out looking really nice and was pretty durable as long as it wasn't scratched hardcore. I used duplicolor adhesion promoter after getting the parts really clean with acetone and sprayed it on. Turned out looking like it came from the factory that way. I've also tried the rustoleum stuff and wasn't impressed. The Duplicolor turned out better and was much more forgiving. I did it on the entire dash, door panels, and steering wheel. I've also used the rustoleum stuff on carpet before, and after breaking it up a little after drying it looked nice. Can't speak for how well the carpet dye would hold up.

Awesome SIR! My main concern was the vinyl and paint. I never done this before and I immediately think cracking and looking ghetto. I've been seeing some youtube videos and the only way is to give it a shot.

I heard someone mention that dupicolor wasn't all that. Is SEM suppose to be better? More "durable"?
