Intake silencer removal mod question:

I have a 98 T4R and was planning to do the "Option #1" mod for the intake silencer removal within this thread:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f130.../?ref=esp-link

I printed out the diagram that was posted and took it to my local dealership, however, the Toyota parts guy I dealt with was not able to find the parts I was looking for without part numbers to reference...

Does anyone happen to know the Toyota part numbers for "parts" numbers #10 and #11 (with #13) so that I am able to order the correct components?

Thanks! -Dewyz1100

I dunno, when I need something along that line I just give my yota parts guy a year make model and tell him whereish the part is. Would prolly try something like 'intake system', 'intake tube' or even 'air filter box' to help him bring up the right diagram, then pick the part off the diagram. Only being able to look up a part by number makes that counterperson useless. Ask if there's anyone who can bring up diagrams for you.

Junkyard?

I did the plumbing cap version on the 96.

17882 has two part numbers:
17882-62010 Hose, Air Cleaner, No. 2 Prod Date: 1998.07 - 2000.08
17882-62020 Hose, Air Cleaner, No. 2 Prod Date: 2000.08 -

Item #11 in the original picture and MudHippy's picture corresponds to 17882 in the one I posted. I suspect the 62010 part number is for the tube in the old pictures....seems confirmed by this Russian and other link:

don't forget the Home Depot option, my personal favorite! Electrical conduit (rigid grey piping) and PVC rubber connectors are fantastic intake tube material FWIW...

it's super cheap and actually looks pretty good and works great.
