Intake manifold Studs

Hey everybody. New here. Just recieved my new 22re long block and this is my first really big project. Having an issue with my intake manifold I'm trying to put on and just want some clarification. I have a stud that comes out of the head that is right above the #4 injector and dont know what it's for. The intake manifold is already sitting on 2 studs. The gasket goes on perfect also there is a tapped hole above the #3 injector I'm wondering what that is for as well. If anyone knows please help. Just making sure im doing it right. Thanks.

For some reason the picture isn't showing up right for me (probably a server error?).

Toyota used the same head casting for both the carbureted 22R and fuel injected 22R-E, but the intake manifolds between the 22R and 22R-E are different.

Since Toyota used the same head casting for both engines, there are bolt or stud holes in the head that may go unused for your engine.

You can use this page from 22R-E Performance to see where the bolts and studs go for 22R vs 22R-E engines (look at the pictures shown): https://22reperformance.com/hardware...d-hardware-kit

I hope that helps.
