Installing new cam and valve train
My truck was running like crap, no power on the freeway and just having a hard time maintaining speed with the rest of traffic was a nightmare. Well after checking everything per the FSM fuel, spark and vacuum and nothing, went to adjust valves and noticed the camshaft lobes were flat so realized that was my problem of no power driving on the freeway.
I'm also gonna do a head gasket job because i don't want to take any chances with this project. The one thing that got me thinking is, since the cam and valve train is brand new is, the adjusters on the rocker arms are not adjusted, so how do i start to adjust the valves without bending them or messing something up. This is my firs time doing something like this and now i'm kind of intimidated by the project. Start valve adjustment from zero.
