Injectors: 4 vs 6

Are the injectors the same out of a 94 v6 and an 89 I4?

I can get some fairly new cheap and mine have over 200k on them.

Under 1500rpms, my truck lopes pretty bad then clears up after 1500.

I already replaced my ign components and it still does it.

Thanks.

Buying new parts and hoping they may fix what's wrong, is a good way to throw money away!

Diagnose, diagnose, DIAGNOSE!

You may want to look close at the TPS and VAF...

VAF = Volume Air Flow meter.

Have you pulled the codes?

Make sure you stick the M in there, VAFM.

Engine (lopes at idle) could be a few things...
1. vacuum leaks... Intake, lines, EGR or a plugged pvc
2. Ignition parts...Timing belt worn, valve clearance, timing off,
3. Dirty injectors
4. could also be a issue with a head gasket or burnt valve.

If your wanting to change injustors there are some differences. some of the 4 cyl. one have 2 holes in the tip, the v6 ones only have 1. you can check the part number if they match then they will work.

Prob. gonna replace the PCV. Motor has 55k on it. Timing belt should be o.k. Definately not head gasket. VAFM was refurbished by yours truly about 4 years ago.

Other then it running choppy under 1500 rpms, the truck runs great. It's just annoying when you pull away from a stop sign and it sounds like a POS.

I was just figuring it might be dirty/bad injectors not being precise at low rpms.

My friend has new injectors for the v6 that he's not using. I was wondering if they're the same flow rate (cc's or lbs per hr).

Thanks for all your input.
