a while back when i tried to start my yoder when i turned the key it just clicked. it didnt crank or anything. now it started doin it every once in a while. itll do it then ill crank it again and shell fire right up. do any of yall have any idea what it could be? today i tried to start it and it took me forever to get it cranked.

can you describe it a little further...are you referring to the actual ignition, is the key turning, etc?

 

well it hasnt donme it anymore but when it did i turned the key all the way and it just clicked. so then i kept turning it fast and it cranked right up

 

I had an issue several weeks ago, that sounds similar to yours. The key would turn only a few positions, but not all the way to start. When I called some local shops they all told me it was the starter. Obviously it wasn't the starter, since it (the ingition) wasn't turning that far. I ended up calling a friend of mine who is a locksmith. It ended up being some worn-out tumblers in the lock/ignition. They were removed and she fires right up now.

 

well my key turns all the way but it just clicks then after you keep turnin it it cranks up.. it happened again today it did it once then it started but it hesitated i guess youd call it

 

no, rdlsz24 called it, you have starter problems. Most likely the starter contacts. Have a look on 4crawlers page, he has a write-up on replacing them.

probably could also check your grounds. i think there are 3 of them total. i had that same problem with mine a few years back and it was the ground. i followed the ground wires to found 2 were loose and corroded. i would turn the key and it would just click once and wouldnt do nothin, then i would keep tryin it till it would eventually start. i would definately check it out, if thats the case its free to fix.
