IFS third member fit in straight axle?
I was told just a min. ago that my IFS third member will fit in a 8" front axle. I dont think this is right but he said that some toyota tech said it would. He also said that the rear would work to, all you had to do was turn the third member upside down n it would fit. Is any of this correct?

Just a quick question because I just don't know......I've heard people talk before about turning a third member upside down for an install (please don't ask me on what, I don't remember), but I can't help but wonder if that would cause any lubrication issues. I think it would because some differentials have races that allow the gear oil to get back to the pinion bearing good and if you turn it upside down it can't get there. Any thoughts?

you would have to turn the whole housing. the third wont fit in upside down.also relocate everything. i've never heard of this but it sounds stupid why not just buy a high pinion if thats what your trying to do
