I want to lower my lift (FAb Tech)

Hi
I have a 94 toyota, but I also Have a 2001 Ford F150 supercrew 4x4...I know I am off forum asking this question, but I cant get a decent reply on the other forums!

To put it in a nutshell, I have a Fabtech lift with a three inch body lift also, the guys at the 4x4 store told me they can remove the body lift and I can still keep the suspension lift. Is this something that I can do here in my garage or is it better to just pay the 600 bucks labor and let the professionals do it? For what i payed for this truck i damn near stole it, i love the high jacked up look and the 37,s swampers, but good gawd! the gas milage! And three hundred dollar a piece tires are not going to cut it! Any advice???
