Post I need a cheap lift for my 96 runner

Hi guys =, im doing new shocks on my 2wd 96 runner this week and figured maybe i could raise it up and inch or two while i was under there,, any body know of any good options?? please help!!! thanks

Coil spring spacers are cheap, like $150 for front and back together. They won't give you near as nice of a ride as new longer springs would, but it's an option.

questions

okay so would i buy shocks for the 99 also?? and what about the rear, coils will work for the front but about the rear??

Im running 33's x 17, getting a little rub in reverse,,, so yes i need and inch or more,,, 3" would be ideal,, but if i get 99 coils or after market springs, wont that only raise the front?? im still curious what i do about the rear

You don't have to buy shocks specific to the 99 if you use the 99 coils. Whatever shocks you were going to replace yours with should work fine. You could get spacers just for the rear too. I'm not a big fan of spacers, but they are cheap. And like Buhundred said, "There's always body lifts".

Search around for different prices/brands. I know Daystar makes a 2.5" spacer lift (front and rear) for about $160. Not sure what just the rear alone would cost. I wouldn't expect more than 1-1.5" of lift out of the '99 coils.
