Generally need about 3-4" suspension lift and an inch or two of body lift, depending on the wheel width/offset and tire width:

Thanks for the answer. I am now looking to trade my truck for a newer taco, how much lift would it take to clear 35's on that?

About the same. Just get a 6" fabtech lift, and get the 35's. If they rub, spend the extra 100 and get a 1 or 2" body lift, and you'll be all set.

My roomate has a 00' Tacoma with that 6 Fabtech lift and brand new 35'' Cooper SST and it does not rub at all on the street, barely rubs off-road.
