how to replace shifter seat 1980 toyota 4x4 4speed
I am having a hard time shifting into 1st and 2nd gear sometimes. Sometimes it shifts smooth and other times I have a hard time. I figured I would replace the shifter seat and bushing to see if it would help. However, I cannot get the shifter out. Any advice? I really appreciate your help. It is a 1980 Toyota 4x4 truck 4speed.

Hard to shift from 1-2 is usually a syncronizer.
Marlin Crawler has the shifter seat bushing and instuctions/videos on thier website.

remove the 2 bolts on the the side of the shifter, then pull shifter straight up.theres a small plastic cup on the end of the shifter thats on the ball.you can get em from marlins or stealer, along with four new rubber bushings(dealer only..cheap) that go on the shifter bolts to minimize vibration.
