How To Remove Front Grill

I am trying to remove the front grill on my 93 toyota pickup 4x4, and can't figure how to get it off. I removed the corner lights, and undid all of the snaps on the top. I saw three on the bottom that I can't figure how to undo. Any suggestions on how to undo those? Also, is there anything I missed?

How do you put the snaps back in without breaking them?

Well usually unless you are super careful one or more of the snaps will break at least I know I broke a few. You don't need them all to hold it on however. As far as removing it I can't quite remember how many snaps were on the bottom but even when those were undone on mine I had to coax it alil bit by wiggling it and it eventually came off no problem. I used a flat blade long handled screw driver to push the tabs in on the underneath ones while at the same time pushing out on the grill so they would release.

have a helper exerting some pressure pulling out on the grill while you mess with the screwdriver to pry apart the tabs.

Takes 4 hands...

I am trying to remove my grill to replace my right hand side headlight (Lens) on my 93 4Runner and I cant figure out what is holding it together on the bottom. Seems like its right around the bottom where the light is but I cant see anything. All the other clips came off no problem. Any ideas?

Did you take your side markers off first? They clip into the sides of the grill and hold it in place. If you're confident you've removed all the clips, all it'll take is some wiggling and prying to pop it loose. Take my advice with a grain of salt though! My grill is held on by 4 cable ties Not a single clip has survived the past 20 odd years.

And just so you know, if you have a question you can always make your own thread instead of bumping one that's 5 years old

I figured it out everyone. I did everything right the first time but I couldn't see the tabs on the bottom of the grill under/behind the headlight. My bumper is bent up into the bottom of the headlight too so that didnt help matters but with a few whacks with a hammer (towel underneath to not damage the bumper) and I got it!!! Thanks for the advice =>
