How much lift do shackles give?

How much lift do shackles give?
long story short i got a set of 6 inch T-G shackles. how much lift could i expect over stock 3 1/2 inch shackles???
is this a good idea or should i put a lift springs in there as well???
im only looking to eliminate the rear sag on the cheap
90 pick-up 4x4 v6 stock everything.
