Just got an oil change and a brand new battery. My windshield was dirty so I pulled back on the lever and the only part of the windshield that got wet was the passenger side. Not a drop of cleaner is coming out of the drivers' side. The holes are not clogged with anything like wax. I opened the hood and all the hoses seem to be fine going to both sides. I looked at the pump and it looks like there are dual fuses under there. Any idea where I begin to do a diagnostic on this problem???

There is only ONE supply line to both nozzles. Trace the line if you don't believe me. The reason there are two fuses (and thus two pumps) is because you have a rear wiper.

Simple test: Pull the hose off both nozzles. If water comes spraying out of both hoses, you have a clogged nozzle. Just that simple. Nozzles can be clogged from the inside, it doesn't have to be from wax.

Pulled off the hoses and you were right, nozzle was clogged.

what i did when my sprayers gave me crap was to soak the spray tips in CLR
its a calcium,lime,rust disolver hence the name ... but anyways 2 minutes later i put them back on .. hooked them up, then 50/50 diluted some in a bottle with distilled water and put the water intake line in the bottle and pumped it through the system and some really nasty colored water came out..
im sure it extended the life of my old sprayers.. and extended the power output..




not to hijack.. but does anyone know where i can get a washer fluid pump that has more power and capacity?

i have my passenger side squirter facing the sidewalk.. so i can squirt road bikers and jaywalkers..

Does anyone know how to re-direct the shooter nozzle.
I know you should be able to stick a pin in the bearing hole and move it to re-direct spray but mine will not move.
Mabe a WD-40 soaking?

Buy a new pump. I don`t have the part number at hand but it did a lot to improve performance of my no doubt oem washer pump that was tired but still worked.

It is a factory replacement Pop the pld one out put the new one in.

It comes with 2wires just cut the factory connector off the old pump solder and heat shrink the splices and your good for another 20 years.
