Help with transfer case shifter install.

Question regarding my 1988 4x4 Toyota Pickup,

I could use some help getting my transfer case shifter installed properly. I recently removed it in order to install rubber flooring.

Upon reinstallation I noticed the shifter didn't feel right, lots of side to side movement and attempting to shift didn't quite feel right either. So I've removed it again. I think the transfer case was in 2H when I removed it.

Here's a photo:

And my question is - do the shifter install into Option A or Option B in this photo?

Thanks,

Jason

Okay, I got this sorted after continued trial and error. It was option B. Even though I had installed it there before, something was off. I can't say for sure what was wrong with those previous installs, but I just kept fussing with it and it works as it should now.
