Help a newb do maintenance
This may be the wrong place to post, but no time to do research for me! If anyone could help out it would be great. Need to replace front rotors, shocks all around and pads/shoes all around.
I have all the parts, want to knock it out this weekend- what would be the best combo of tools to buy to jack/hold my truck up. It's an 87 Pickup, 33's and has a 3 in body lift (this shouldn't matter, right?) Just bought it recently, have all the tools I need to work on motorcycles, but no truck stuff yet!
From what it looks like, a standard floor jack and some tall jack stands will work just fine... I was gonna go hi-lift so that I could use it for the eventual wilderness exploration that this will be on (haha!). Second guessing that decision after this thread. Thanks for any advice. Gonna run by harbor freight tonight to get the stands, and may find a jack on craigslist.
