I got a 87 22r pick up. I'm having problems starting it all it does is click I bought a new starter and still just a click I can pop start it and I have tested everything and am Geting power. Idk what the hell it could be

 

check your connections, cables and grounds

i fixed your thread title..."help" by itself can lead to your thread being deleted..

Also, could be a defective ignition switch not sending voltage to the starter solenoid properly. Make sure you're getting 12v to the smaller wire connected to the starter- if no voltage when the key is turned, the ignition switch is probably at fault. If you are getting voltage there, try jumping 12v directly to the smaller terminal on the starter. If this fixes it, you should be able to get by with installing a relay inline between the key switch and the starter.
