IMHO, you just can't go wrong with BFG's.
BFGoodrich are a little on the pricey side sometimes, but they do make an exceptional tire. Good tread life, good traction, and great off roadability, and decent on road manners.
Whether you want to go with A/T's or M/T's is up to you...

X2 on the Geolanders... just put a set on the runner and i love them. Great ride and decent in muck. what you could expect from an AT tire

I know this is the Newbie section, so I'm not supposed to say it, but this is really something you need to search on - there are as many opinions as there are members here ... need to look around at people who use their truck similarly to you and what they think of different tires and go from there.
FWIW, I have Dunlop Radial Rover RVXT and they do pretty well. I 'wheel A LOT though, so I'm going to get something with a stronger sidewall next time (probably at the expense of ride quality and gas mileage)

As far as price, tread life, and performance go...
Procomp.
Their all-terrains have a 50k mile warranty... I've seen a guy run a set for 40k and still have 1/2 his tread left.
If you take care of them, they will do you no wrong.
I also find their mud terrains to be quieter than BFGs, and good years.
