Gold vs Blue

For anyone who has used the new PureOne oil filters that are now gold instead of the blue, what do you think about 'em - better?, worse?, same?

I run NAPA Gold filters in my rig (Actually Wix filters). Everyone says they're just as good as the OEM. and it's not an extra few miles for everyone, NAPA is less than 10 miles from me in either direction, nearest dealership is 30-ish. Just don't use a Fram, unless, of course, you like hearing all sorts of bottom end noise every time you start your truck. My truck's made it 260,000 miles on Napa filters (had one in it when I got the truck, put a Fram on because I didn't know better and went right back)

I'm sure they are pretty much the same and I've been running them for since '98 and they've been rated in reviews as a very good filtering filter and solid construction.

Picked up a new Pureone this past weekend. I'd imagine nothing has changed, just the textured grip outer covering and color. Just to be picky...I'm not a huge fan of the gold or all of the dirt/grease that collects on the textured grip.

I've been using Pureone since I read it's ratings compared to the other "Big Box" brands. I'd prefer to use Toyota brand, but the dealership is a little more than a a few extra miles of driving.
