getting it in the air

i got a 1988 4runner about 4 months ago and the first thing i have to do is get it running of coarse but the next step is get it as high as possible suspension wise what is the best lift kit to get it 4 to 5 inches taller? i want to get some big rubber under there

its easier to lift a solid front axle vehicle because taller leafs are pretty standard/cheap compared to a giant IFS bracket lift. bracket lifts will get it up thats for sure, but they arent the strongest things ever. the rear you can do longer shackles + higher arch leafs. its going to cost some money though. if you plan on going above 33" tires, youll want to regear also, which can cost some money too.

How big tires do you want to run?

The answer varies greatly if you're looking at 33's, 35's/37's, or 40's
