ok i know this sounds perdy newbieish but im putting 4.88s in my truck when i get 33s and i was wondering if theres any mods u have to do to the differiential to put those gears in. also.. all i need to regear is just buyin the ring and pinion right? ill prob get the new bearings and all that crap that comes in a kit. i searched on here but i couldnt find exactly waht i was lookin fer. thankye

 

you want to get your gears set up by a professional but installing them you can do... im sure they have a kit with everything you need... my jdm surf came with 4.88s stock.. it might be cheaper to get some 4.88s used from a junkyard and just install them yourself

 

ye ai think just the autos came with 4.88s stock but what do u mean by havin them setup by a pro but installin them myself?

 

removable 3rd members..

pro sets up the gears and bearings and whathaveyou in the 3rd

you install said setup 3rd into the rear
