Hey, I have an 86 4runner efi. It has been sitting for 6 years and I am fixin it back up. Before I parked it I put in a new fuel pump. Now I am (i think) having a problem getting fuel. So I pulled the pump out to take a look.

My question is: is there a way to test the pump? I straight wired it to a battery and nothing. Any ideas?

Also the pump was covered with gunk and housing was rusted. Should I flush/clean the tank? Any ideas?
