fuel leak

yesterday I started having issues starting my truck. like it was lacking fuel pressure or something. today it was doing it again. when i was parked and in a store for a while i came back out and there was a pool of gas below the tank. When it's idling i can see it leak. Between the frame and the body i can see the filler hose going down into the tank, just off to the right towards the front of the truck i see a very fine mist, i had to hold my hand there for 20 seconds to see gas collect on it. but it is leaking. how in the world do i work on that? its right behind the frame and between the body and the gas tank. any tips? I don't even know where it is leaking from yet. cant get in there far enough to see the spot.

Not sure on your 4Runner, but on my truck it's not that big of a job to drop the gas tank...

Changed the fuel pump on mine last fall. A couple pics of the plumbing here:

Dropping the tank isn't too hard provided bolts aren't seized.
