front shocks

has anyone ever changed the front shocks on a 1993 Toyota sr5 pickup? 4wd, 3vze engine, ext. cab

thanks! it seems pretty straightforward but it's never as easy as it seems.

Just depends on where you live.

Then also just how long they have been on.

Here in the great salt belt I pretty much end up just cutting the top shock hardware off The nuts are rusted so bad and the shaft just spins no matter what ideas I come up with to try and hold it.

Bottom hardware I use the 1/2" impact

Yes it can at times be a Royal pain

In saltbelt, Paint the shock nuts with paint or rubber seal, Actually works no matter your location.

That very well may work if one had installed the shocks in the first place 20 plus years or so ago!!!
