Hello, I have an 84 yota 4x4 and the 22r was leaking some massive oil from the front of the engine. I have removed the oil pump and am going to replace the oil pump seal, and the front main seal. Do I need to use any sealant for any of the bolts and what are the torque specifications for the oil pump bolts? Also, I bought a cork gasket for the oil pan. The guy a Napa told me I shouldn't even use a gasket at all, just grey sealant. Is this better or is he full of ?

The 84, you will want to use a gasket. The oil pans used raised ridges along the mounting surface. If you wanted to only use sealant, you would have to get the 85+ pan which has recessed ridges on the mounting surface.
Also, you do not want to use any sealant on the bolts. Just clean everything really well, use good quality gaskets, and bolt it back together. Sealant on bolts usually hinders their ability to torque correctly.
