Few issues, any help?

I've got a 1979 toyota pickup. I Took 2 trucks (1 with good motor 1 with good body) and put them together. When i finally got it all put together and running everything worked fine EXCEPT my tail lights and dashlights were really dim and got brighter with the RPMs of my motor. Only my tail lights and dash lights though, the running lights, headlights turn signals, all work fine. Until the other day when i lost headlights and tail lights completely. I checked the fuses (there are 2 for the headlights?) both are good. (was thinking it could be a bad ground on the body i got.... it sat in a field for 7 years. im not sure where the lights are grounded to)

My other issue is i lifted my truck about 7-8" with blocks, shackles and springs. Now my front driveline is at too extreme of an angle. What is the proper way to build a front driveline? ive heard about 10 different variations from my redneck friends and such and i just want to do it right. One person said moving my shackles to the front from the back of my front leaves? One said to build shims to shift the angle of my front end? are these proven methods? Ive seen jeeps with the shackles in the front..... dont know about my pickup tho.

Anywho, those are the last two problems im having with my yota, would love to get some mud on it. Thanks for looking, my email is Iancain123@hotmail.com if u have any insight.

Get the alternator tested, and check the grounds.

Ditch the blocks, and do not run shackles in the front. Both suck. Search around for lift options. I don't know much about lifts since I keep my truck more or less stock, but I know blocks are dangerous and you don't want shackles in the front. A lot of people move the rear leaf springs up front, then add chevy leafs in the rear. Won't give you 7-8", though...but why would you need that much lift? Doing this requires welding, as far as I know.
