Fenders 2wd vs 4wd

I've got an 84 xcab 4wd, need to replace the fenders. JC Whitney has 2wd fenders for about 1/2 the price of the 4wd (sku 2wd: 1JA 819683 sku 4wd: 1JA 565620 ). Would the 2wd ones work? Has anyone tried them?

sure it will bolt on but you won't get the integrated flare...4WD fender offers a little more tire coverage...

i also believe there is a difference in the corner light as well between the 4wd fenders and the 2wd fenders. But there is a pretty big difference between the two with the wheel flare coverage as ocdropzone mentions.

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
I'd look for salvage or part out fenders myself...

The 2WD's have less tire coverage and from really really old memory I recall xtreme's right. The corner markers are inverted. Seems I once though just switching sides would work...

Anywho. The factory's will fit better, and prolly be cheaper than you can buy from JC.

But even if they aren't they'll be higher quality.

It needs to be a rule, you fix Toyota's with Toyota parts...
