SO.... I am a newbie,here @ yota tech, and I need some help finding replacement fenders. I have a 2003 (gen 4) 4runner ( 2wd/ 4.7L v-8) I have the wide fenders that go all the way around the suv. I was wanting to replace them with something more stylish or thiner... Please, provide any and all helpful suggestions and web sites that may help me out.

 

what do you mean by "thinner"? do you mean w/o the "flare" that's pressed in the sheet metal? if so, you're most likely SOL since that's a feature of the Gen4 styling. If anything, the aftermarket fenders you may/may not find would be WIDER to cover a long-travel front end since these only really come out for the prerunner market, but they do exist and are usually only for the front end. to my knowledge, i've never seen a 4th or 5th gen with smooth, low-profile fenders w/o the bulge. you could be the first, but probably not worth it based on how much work would be involved with cutting it off and re-welding it with a smooth look.

Drive it to a bodyshop, ask them to search up what your fender options are. Then you don't have to take pictures either!

Curious as to why you bought a vehicle that you didn't like the body style.
