when it gets wet? start looking for exposed wires or relays.

hey man.. i have a question for you. i have a 90 4runner too. sr5 v6. im having trouble with electrical too. (i think) once in a while, my truck just, wont start. it turns over just fine, has plenty of spark and power, just keeps turning over. i leave it alone for a bit, and it will start and run just fine for weeks straight... frickin weird and starting to get on my nerves... i think its some sort of exsposed wires or relay, something but cant find it. sound familiar??

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
I had a T100 one time that would just die... Almost killed me a time or two, too...

Turns out a connection had come loose behind one of those fuses under the hood. I had two life long mechanic friends look at it and they gave it right back.. no probs... Gave it to Toyota fearing the worst, a $1,000 repair bill... It was $60 $75 IIRC...

Look and see if the check engine light comes on once you turn it to the on (but not start) position. If it does not, pretty sure your ignition or ECU is not hot.

Mine would not start unless that light came on. The sucky part was I didn't notice that before and the truck got fixed a few days later.
