Question engine swap

i have a 86 toyota 4x4 with a 22re engine. i wanted to swap it out with another 22re engine out of an 84 toyota. the question is my 86 is a manual and the engine that im putting in is out of an automatic. i just wanted to make sure that the engine would bolt up to my manual tranny.

where did you find a 22re out of an 1984 toyota? (reason i'm asking is that 22re's were not available in toyota 4x4's until 1985 only the 22r) If it is indeed a 22re it should work fine. Or if you're just swapping 22r's it should work as well. This is in regards to long block to long block. Other stuff like wires and plugs might be a little different.

On another note be aware the 84 block and head is different than the 86 block and head. Do some research and know before you start what you're getting into.
