Engine smoking from head?

I noticed my 4runner smelling like oil really bad so I popped the hood and saw smoke coming from what looks like the headgasket. Is it possible that the headgasket is broken and blowing smoke? The truck hasn't been running all that well lately, sputters sometimes when letting off the gas and the shakes and idles really rough when its hot. Giving it gas makes the roughness go away. Also idles fine when cold.

Here is a video of the smoke

engine is a '88 22RE

Is your valve cover leaking? If the leak is bad enough the oil can get on the head gasket and exhaust pipe and burn off making it look like smoke is coming from the head gasket, but in reality its just oil being burned due to the extreme heat.

VC looks fine but I know the oil pump o ring leaks and has been leaking for a long time. The truck has never smoked like this before though. Do you not think its the headgasket?

That looks like a valve cover gasket, not the head gasket. It is much easier to fix. Just pull off the valve cover and put in a new gasket with gasket sealer and tighten accordingly.
