Question engine problems

im new to this site so bare with me. i have a 1988 toyota pickup 22re motor. just had the heads replaced and drove her down from Virginia to Florida. i drive her everyday to work and during the drive, if i am sitting too long at a light or in traffic, when i start out in first gear she stutters heavily as if im not giving enough gas. if im at a light and go the same thing happens. checked the injectors and even put cleaner in the tank to clear up any dirt or gunk. this only happens when i drive and get stuck in traffic. doesn't happen when im not sitting too long. friend told me i might be over heating but i checked the coolant and everything is fine. once she shuts off i can't start her again for at least ten to fifteen minutes. she just cranks and cranks. any help on what could be the problem would be awesome. this is my baby and i need to get her running right

Check and change your fuel filter. Also what thermostat do you have in it. Most of us run a dual stage 190deg
