Ok what is the following mean and how would I know which one my 99 4runner would be?
3.4L (VIN N, 5th digit, 5VZFE eng, 6 cyl), Fed, from 2/99
3.4L (VIN N, 5th digit, 5VZFE eng, 6 cyl), Fed, thru 1/99

Is 1/99 every 3rd gen model made up to 1999 and 2/99 anything made after the year 2000?

Sorry might seem be a stupid question but this is my first 4runner and just trying to find out the most I can about it.....

 

from 2/99 should be just what it says made from 2/99 and on. same goes for thru 1/99 made up until 1/99. check what shoud be inside the drivers door jam and look what the tag says when it was made.
