Pickup lags every time I try to accelerate. I replaced distributor cap/rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter. Seems like the truck is not getting fuel, but I don't know. Hoping to not have to replace carburetor. Please help. Somebody have this happen to them?

 

More information about your truck would be helpful. Year, engine,transmission, 4x or 2x, ect

 

1980 20r 4 speed. 4x4

 

How many miles? What brand plug/wires/cap? Ect.

 

Just what are you comparing it with??

 

Is this a new problem or has it been there for some time? I had my main coil go out with the same symptoms a few years back. It would hiccup when I accelerated. It did it for about a week then it just wouldn't start. It was in a 94 pickup with a 22re.
